Dr. Erika Platz
PT, DPT

Dr. Erika Platz is originally from Corpus Christi, TX. She attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Following graduation, she worked for several years at Shea Physical Therapy and Hand Therapy Services as a physical therapy technician, gaining invaluable experience in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Erika then pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she was selected to travel to the Dominican Republic with Project Hispaniola, which offered a mobile physical therapy clinic for sugar cane plantation laborers who lacked regular access to healthcare. After earning her DPT, she worked in the acute rehabilitation setting. She knews she was called to be a physical therapist after experiencing an injury herself that required extensive rehabilitation. Her passion continues to grow as she truly enjoys providing individualized care for her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, growing as a Christian through bible studies and classes provided by her church, puzzling, DIY arts and crafts, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
